This product is a linear LED module from the Pollux family, equipped with 7 LEDs from Nichia (219CT_V2 series) and delivering 2000 lm at 4000K with CRI 80, 13.8 W of power consumption and an efficacy of 145 lm/W.
Pollux modules put a row of LEDs on a compact rigid board with a defined pitch that matches the Gaggione POLLUX7X1 optics family. That is the point of the system: because the LED spacing and the board outline are fixed, the same module can be turned into a narrow wall grazer, an elliptical wall washer or a wide flood simply by clipping on a different lens, with no change to the electronics or the mechanics.
The module is operated with a constant current driver and mounted directly onto a heat sink or the metal body of the luminaire. Different LED types are available across the family, from high-CRI mid-power packages to tunable white and high-output CSP LEDs, so the same mechanical platform covers a wide range of light levels and light qualities.
Why we build with Nichia LEDs
Nichia is a major Japanese LED manufacturer and one of the companies closely associated with the development and commercialisation of high-brightness blue and white LED technology. Its professional lighting LEDs are selected for well-documented optical and electrical characteristics, tight binning options and long-term characterisation. For a luminaire maker, that means the PCB, driver and thermal design can be built around defined forward-voltage, flux, colour and temperature limits instead of anonymous components whose behaviour may change from one batch to the next.
The Pollux 7x1 comes with a 5-year warranty. A warranty period of that length is only possible because the components, the thermal design and the production process are under our own control, and it gives you real investment security on a component that will be built into an installation.
Made in Germany – for reliable quality
This Lumistrips light engine is developed and manufactured at our production site in Germany. The PCB is assembled on controlled SMD equipment and the finished boards are visually inspected and electrically tested. We use specified, traceable LED components and defined production parameters so that current, voltage, light output and colour remain reproducible from batch to batch.
The difference from generic LED tape or anonymous modules is control of the complete light engine: copper layout, soldering quality, LED spacing, component selection and thermal path are defined together. That gives luminaire makers a more predictable component for continuous operation, easier qualification and repeat orders that behave like the original build.
