This product is a fully potted IP65 constant current LED driver from the illuburg SS5 series, supplying a regulated 350 mA into an output range of 2.5–10 V DC for LED loads up to roughly 3.5 W.
The IP65 rating means the driver can be installed where dust and splashing water are present, so no separate protective enclosure is needed in many outdoor, damp-location and industrial applications. The housing is designed for built-in installation inside the luminaire.
The SS5 series is certified flicker-free according to IEEE 1789. Light modulation that the eye does not consciously notice still appears as banding on camera and is linked to eye strain over long exposure, so an IEEE 1789 driver is the right choice for offices, workshops and anywhere that will be filmed. This version is not dimmable; dimmable variants are available in the same series.
Constant current operation is what an LED module needs: it is the current, not the voltage, that sets the light output and the thermal load, and a regulated current keeps both stable regardless of temperature drift or supply variation.
